Her smile disappeared. Her happiness vanished. Her excitement flew away. Her heart felt a sharp pain.
Oh my God! She mumbled to herself. She placed her hand on her chest then turned her left to walk towards the stairs. She didn't want to see the happiness on that bitch's face. She won't not let what she saw affect her.
"Sweetheart!" Blake called and she felt his hand on her forearm.
She tried to compose herself although she had the desire to slap him. She turned her head to him. She didn't say anything. She angrily looked at his hand on her forearm and he let her go after a second or two. She then raised her eyes to his face.
His brows were knitted. "Sweetheart, it's not what you think. I will explain."
"And what may I ask do you think I am thinking?" Now it was her turn to raise a brow.
He sighed heavily. His Heather appeared to be cool but he was sure that she was seething. This was another thing he really liked about her. She never acted hysterically in public however mad she was. The last thing he wanted was for her to get angry. Thins had been well between them. He reached and squeezed her hand. He said a silent thank you when she didn't get it back.
